Merry Christmas to all

Okay, so my last post was #42. Too bad it was just me whining :P

Anyhoo, Merry Christmas everyone! And Happy New Year!

I just watched 'It's a Wonderful Life' with my husband, who hadn't actually seen it before. I'm sure he found it boring and silly, but he sat through it with only a couple comments. Granted, he was tired, but it was very nice :) Will try to make it a tradition, but we'll see how that goes.

People are so stupid...

...and annoying and frustrating and bloody well get on my nerves some days. So you're having a bad day? Guess what, so am I! Get over it.

...just needed to rant...

It's finally happened

I think...I think I'm going to take a break from WoW...let my current subscription run out and take a month or so off. I just got a few new games recently, and find myself playing them more than WoW at the moment. It's not that I don't still love WoW...it's just that all I find myself doing is making alts :P I can't get into the raiding, or the rep grinding, etc. When Cataclysm comes out, I'll be back in guaranteed. Until then, we'll see how it goes.

Edit: Yepp, just cancelled it. Have until Jan. 15

Christmas Songs

A friend told me about a Christmas special I missed. Trans Siberian Orchestra: The Ghosts of Christmas Eve. It's from 2001, but the DVD just came out this year (which I plan to get). I did download it and am currently watching it. I love how long haired rock out on electric guitars to Christmas songs...and it _works_. It's set to a story about a little girl that hides in a theatre on Christmas Eve because she ran away from home. I'm really enjoying it, and just think the concept of what TSO does with music is great, and have loved their stuff for a while.

Anyhoo, go find and watch.

Day off ramblings

Days off, yay!! Feeling a little weird, moody I suppose. Just finished watching Alice. Very fun :D Got to see an actor I haven't seen since Primeval las aired. Andrew Lee Potts. He played Hatter (yes, the Mad Hatter), in this version of Alice in Wonderland, and from the moment I saw him I was rooting for him. Excellent performance, and stood up to Tim Curry _very_ well. Anyway, guess I got caught up in the romantic pull of the story (hormones :P) so now I feel funky. As I do when I obsess over something, I went and found more of his work. Got a 6 episode series downloading at the moment, dealing with demons and whatnot so that's awesome, and now I'm actually really glad that Primeval is picked up for another 13 eps, as I get to see Connor again (Potts' char). I'm a pathetic sap...

Okay, think I'm off to play WoW and listen to some Christmas music :D

The Caddie

"So what?" the first boy shrugs as he works on the padlock keeping the garage closed.

"So...we can't just break into this guy's place, who knows what he'll do to us!" the second boy whispers loudly, looking over his shoulders constantly.

"He won't do anything," the first rolls his eyes, then lets out a "Woohoo!" as the lock finally pops open. With a quick glance around, he lifts the garage door just enough for the two of them to slide under and in.

"Not complaining now are ya?" the first asks with a smirk, as the two boys look around in awe at the treasure they just uncovered.

A 1959 Cadillac Eldorado, black and chrome, sat before them. They looked at each other with mischievous delight, then the first called "Driver!" and ran to the driver side door.

With a bit of a grumble, the second made his way to the passenger's side and both climbed into the immaculate vehicle. They were grinning again as they admired the inside, then they had themselves a good half hour of pretending to drive the vehicle.

There's a cough behind them, "It works better if you have these," a man's deep voice says, a touch of amusement in his voice, and he held up a set of keys with a black rabbit's foot and jingled them.

The boys bolted out of the car and ran for the garage door, but the man was already there and gripped the two by the back of their jackets, "You came all this way? Don't you want to take a ride?" the man asked.

The two boys looked at each other nervously, "Uh, no, it's okay mister," the second stammers while at the same time the first nods, "Yes!"

The man laughs and lets the boys go, "Tell ya what. You buy me a new padlock for my door, and do a few chores for me, and I'll take you on that ride. Deal?" he offers them.

The boys send silent messages to each other, then the first puts out his hand to the man, "It's a deal," he says, and shakes as firmly as his nervousness would let him.

"Now get going before I decide to call your parents," the man says, voice authoritative now.

The two boys nod and scramble out the way they came, the man watching in amusement. He turns back to the car, runs a loving hand over it, and buffs out an imaginary scuff, "Nice to be still appreciated huh?" he asks it, then chuckles and heads back inside the house, tossing the keys up and down as he went.

??

House MD video game? Huh?

Remember to post when you actually think of it

So, had a few things to post earlier today and yesterday...now can't think of them *hangs head*

Oh! Here's one. For those of you that are considering coming to my 'big' birthday party next year (for those that don't know, I'm inviting anyone that can reasonably make it, to come to my 30th birthday party for July 11, 2010) I came up with an idea to go bowling, and to have a sci-fi/fantasy theme. I highly encourage dressing up ;)

Well, I think that's it...:P

New Moon (requisite spoiler alert)

So, went with a friend to see New Moon last night. We had a great time, and the movie wasn't that bad either. We laughed through most of it. I've read the books, so it's kind of hard to be on the edge of my seat when I know what's going to happen. Jacob and the wolf boys, they really worked out to look like that. The hair was definitely better than the first movie LOL too.

Okay, so here are the 'cameos': Dakota Fanning played Jane (very cool, if 'bad guy', vampire), 'Todd the Wraith' played one of the lead vampires, Orlin/Leech was a lackey vampire, and...wait for it..._Lucien_ (as in the leader of the werewolves in Underworld) played the most talkative and top head vampire. I thought that last one was just hilarious.

So, I will be adding this to my blu-ray collection of course, but I think the next movie is going to be better. This one was very much 'internal', but the next one has more outside action to it...and I believe a nice play by Edward to put Jake in his place ;)
