Win7 Update

Well, I'd have to say that was the fastest install-to-use time I've had. I like the features, though a few take a little getting used to. No major issues yet, but then I don't use my laptop for much more than occasional downloading, messenger and web surfing. The space requirement for Win7 (16GB) is a bit big...but like I said, I don't have much else on the laptop. It did force me to clean out stuff too, which is good.

So, I have to say, I _will_ be officially upgrading to Win7 on my desktop come the purchasable release. I can't afford two licenses though, so the laptop will be downgrading back to XP I think...unless I find a work-around or they now allow multiple home computers on the same license.

Windows 7

So, I've decided to give Windows 7 RC a shot on my laptop. Big download, and all the important stuff backed up. Will install tomorrow, after work, and let you know.

Vampire Craze

Okay, thanks to Twilight, vampires are back in (for the moment) but they're the 'teeny bopper' kind really. Oi... And I just found out one of the series I really liked (when I was a teenager) is being made into a TV series by the CW (formerly WB, where Buffy and Angel made their home for a while). Okay...so they want in on the vampire craze. Already, I'm not liking what I'm hearing. As my friend said though, good for a laugh.

I feel old....

The '7-11 Mythbusters Special' Challenge

Here's the challenge:

Make a list of 10 (or more) myths to send to the mythbusters, and all about 7-11. I want input from customers _and_ employees (I know both). Give me anything you can think of. Something relatively simple, can be added to or spark something in someone else. A co-worker and I came up with a couple, so here's the start of the list.

1. Will a diet pop syrup really blow up a slurpee machine?
2. Can you break a window/play baseball with, an overcooked taquito?
3. Methods of 'curing' brain freeze: rub the roof of your mouth with your thumb or rub your temples.
